Marcus Holloway grew up in Chula Vista, the son of a Marine mechanic who taught him that doing something right the first time is always faster than doing it twice. He trained at the BMW Group's technical academy in South Carolina and spent nine years as a BMW factory-certified master technician at a San Diego dealership — working exclusively on BMW and MINI vehicles and gaining factory access to every diagnostic and coding system in the BMW lineup.
In 2012, Marcus opened Pacific Auto Works in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego, specifically to serve European and import vehicle owners who were tired of dealer prices and the transactional nature of dealership service. He brought his factory diagnostic equipment — including licensed ISTA and XENTRY software — and built a team of three technicians, each with manufacturer-specific experience.
Pacific Auto Works is now one of San Diego's most recommended independent shops for European vehicles, with a five-star reputation built entirely on referrals and repeat business.
